Lebanon sent its “deepest condolences” to Greece on Wednesday after the collision of two trains in central Greece killed 36 people and injured dozens of others.
In a statement, the Lebanese Foreign Ministry voiced “solidarity with Greece and its friendly people” during the tragedy.
The ministry offered “sincere condolences to the families of the missing, and wished a speedy recovery for the injured,” it added.
Two trains collided in the city of Larissa in central Greece late Tuesday. An investigation is underway to find the cause of the accident.
