The airline company SKY-Express will launch next month a brand new business class named “Bliss” on international routes, as well as a new pre-order meal. She also received her second Airbus A321neo.
Announced on June 13, 2023 for a launch in July, the new business class of the Greek company is not very detailed, in particular with regard to the look and the number of seats available in its single-aisle Airbus And ATR hitherto single-class. Bliss will offer passengers priority access at each stage of the journey, free access to airport VIP lounges, the possibility of transporting luggage and extra kilos, “refined catering and an in-flight entertainment programme”. This new Business class will gradually be extended to “most of the network” of SKY Express.
SKY express will also launch a new service of pre-order meal for passengers: baptized “Drinks and Bites”, the service will allow passengers to choose their own meal in advance. This new service, “which should be launched in a few days, aims to eliminate food waste and offers passengers the possibility of choosing and ordering their meal up to a few hours before a flight”.
Remember that SKY express serves from Paris-CDG and Brussels-Zaventem – via its base at Athens-Eleftherios Venizelos – around fifteen destinations in Greece and Cyprus, as well as Crete (Heraklion) with direct flights from Paris, Lille, Lyon, Marseille, Nantes and Brussels.

SKY express displays on the other hand of solid financial results for the first three months of 2023, with strong growth in terms of flights, passengers and revenues. The total number of SKY express flights between January and March 2023 increased by 11% compared to the same period in 2022, exceeding 10,000 flights. Compared to the first quarter of 2019, before the Covid-19 pandemic, the increase in the company’s flights reached 69%. In addition, the company’s passengers increased by 50% compared to the first quarter of 2022, reaching 730,000.
SKY express announces a forecast revenue of €360 million this year, compared to €262 million in 2022 and €79 million in 2019. The airline expects to carry 4.4 million passengers this year, compared to 3.5 million in 2022, and 1.1 million in 2019. SKY express has some 54,000 scheduled flights this year to more than 65 destinationscompared to 50,000 flights (56 destinations) in 2022 and 32,500 flights (30 destinations) in 2019. SKY express today operates nearly 13.5% of the flights carried out at Athens airport.
